Burns are one of the most common household injuries, especially among children. Burn Survivors and their Families need intensive support after such an incident. The Hero Burn Foundation strives to ensure the availability of a comprehensive program of Burn Related Services to Burn Survivors, their Families and all other South Africans.

All Burn Survivors are Heroes – Battling through their own difficult, emotional and physical daily struggles that few others in society understands. Due to personal experience, the Founder realised that Burn Survivors and their Families need intensive support after such an incident. Heroes are easily shunned by others due to their physical appearance and are not given the opportunities or support they so desperately need and deserve.

Most people can recover from burns however, serious burns require immediate emergency medical care to prevent complications and death, unfortunately this kind of emergency medical care as well as the post trauma medical treatment is long and comes at huge financial expense!
